Dark in the City, a dark animated drama based on true events with a twist is set for release in November 2026.

Written by Amilia Hart, head of Dreadnought’s Multi Media Production, the project is co-produced and edited by Film Volt Group Studios, with distribution by Film Volt Group.

On a rain-soaked night in London, a lone woman notices the same car appearing along her route. As she moves through neon-lit streets and deserted passages, the sense of being watched becomes impossible to ignore.

Determined to confront her pursuer, she turns a frightening journey into a calculated encounter. But she carries a secret of her own—and as the distance between them closes, it becomes unclear who is truly in danger.

Blending psychological suspense with atmospheric animation, Dark in the City explores hidden motives, revenge and the fragile boundary between hunter and hunted. Its London setting brings together rain, deep shadows and vivid reflections, creating a city that feels both familiar and threatening.

Drawing inspiration from true events, the story introduces a dramatic twist that challenges the audience’s first impressions. What begins as an apparent pursuit becomes a confrontation in which neither person’s intentions are quite what they seem.

The collaboration brings together Amilia Hart’s writing, Dreadnought’s Multi Media Production and Film Volt Group Studios, with Film Volt Group distributing the project for its November release.

One woman. One rain-soaked city. A secret that changes everything.

Dark in the City — coming November 2026.
